As a dauther and a farmer, I tell you my story torn from the throes of terror. Together with my daughter, we have been victim to the unmitigated assaults of so-called animal “rights” activists in San Diego, California. This onslaught has not only been limited to cyber stalking and harrowing defamation, but has escalated to painstaking physical attacks, death threats, and distressing threats of sexual assault.

 

The perpetrators of these crimes have resorted to a gamut of attack methods that are largely grounded in fabrication, falsification, and baseless litigation. Their actions are commanded by a convicted criminal who is, bewilderingly, a licensed attorney.

 

But this is not just our plight. It echoes across the heartland of America, where many farmers and dog breeders are clothed in a veil of unjust laws forcibly woven by these extremist 'animal rights' activists. These laws, applied ubiquitously, undermine the livelihood and safety of those dedicated to American agriculture and animal breeding.

 

The time has come for us to appeal to our government to address this grave injustice. We are calling for a consolidation of efforts to reverse the laws that leftists radicals have bent to the detriment of farmers and dog breeders. We are calling for the crafting of new, robust bills that will protect the integrity of our agriculture, the sanctity of ethical animal breeding, and shield us all from attacks both physical and reputational.

 

Our legitimate industry should not be the playground for extremists. May our plea resonate with those of you who recognize our shared humanity and desire for justice.
